Just a few concerns........
1- Are we going to be given double points for the upcoming Cebu race? 2- My son has been bugging me about getting him a kiddie cart but I always tell him to wait a few more years becuase I was under the impression that the youngest age allowed for kids in kart competition is 8. Let me know if I am wrong or if the rules have been changed because I have been told that one or two kids who raced in the kiddie class last sun. were not even 7.

In the US, kids can start racing at five. 5-7 years is the Baby Karts, 8-11 years is Cadet.
You need to check your local club rules to be sure.
Cheers, John

Just want to thank everyone who thought about putting up this site. This is really a great venue for karters, team owners, etc. and I encourage everyone to take part of this. I am not in the business, just a racer that would like to see karting grow so I will try to support this site in my own little way.
A message for manilakarter: Karting is a wonderful way to spend quality time with your son both at the track and at home going through the kart. Check out the age requirement with the board right away. I also suggest that you take your son to the next race and have him try out one of the karts ( i'm sure that most of the parents out there will accommodate you ) and see how he does. The skill might be of much more importance than the age requirement. Goodluck!
