What was the most effective gear (wet track) used for last Sunday's race? Thank you for your help.

For what class? I would like to know as well for the K60 class since we were stuck using 82T for novice. Are the experts allowed to change the small gear on the engine? It would be a great way to save on buying more sprockets. You can use the same gears in Carmona at BRC by dropping one tooth on the small gear.

I think most racers for rotax class used 87-89 sprockets for the wet track condition, depending on what suited them best. For cadet, I have no idea but I can check that out for you.

Thanks, guys! I will experiment on the gearing. Hope we can hear from PIKA about the required age for cadet class.

On a wet race it is better to use a larger gear on the axle side, maybe 3-5 teeth more than what you use during dry, depends on how wet is the track or how high the water is. Reason is because you want to rev the engine as high as on dry conditions and to give you more exit torque out of the turns specially on corners with water is a bit high. Water give resistance on the tires on wet conditiond. I hope this helps you!
No matter what anyone tells you, do what works not what is supposed to work. When in doubt leave it alone. If you don’t have time to test a change before the race and you aren’t positive it will be a good change, don’t do it. All of this is also dependent on the driver and driving style.
